A Little about us..

The Pear Tree Tea Rooms & Restaurant was started in 2005 under the ownership and direction of Lynne Thomas. We take pride in using local organic ingredients where possible, and all of the food is made in our kitchens. More recently in 2008 we opened the restaurant for dinner, creating 3 dining areas and a new bar.

Lynne has been a patisserie chef for over 20 years, starting life at The Carved Angel in Dartmouth under Joyce Molyneux. She then moved to Thornbury Castle in Gloucestershire in the late 80’s where she progressed her passion for fine patisserie and cooking. In 1989 she moved to Ston Easton Park Hotel and stayed there for ten years where she worked with the michelin star chef Steve Shore.

We are always looking to create simple food, cooked well, in a relaxed atmosphere. We always welcome suggestions and comments from our customers. We have two children, Henry and Charlotte and we welcome families of all ages to our restaurant. We can provide children's dishes - just ask!

If you have any special dietary requirements or food allergies, please notify our restaurant staff before you order, and we will be happy to advise you on your choice. Most of our dishes are cooked to order, so if there is a specific ingredient that you would like omitted, or added, please ask our staff. Only the main ingredients of each dish are shown on our menus.
